...pronounced Essa..wee..ra, which is not that easy to say. Located on the coast of Morocco, Essaouira is a fishing port and also a very popular tourist spot. In the photograph here you can see the old town with it's sea walls and around the other side and out of sight is the very busy fishing port. The main tourist beach is behind me here and is very popular with Paragliders, as Essaouira is renowned for its high winds. I certainly had a few bad hair days there! lol!

Wonderful! You must have been fairly high up to capture this great wide view. The bird in flight is the finishing touch to it :)

interesting how the old town hides behind walls, while the newer part is right beside.
it seems that part of the walls have been taken down some time ago.
wonderful view with great, natural colours, i like it!

Bad hair days? I had one of those once in 1976 but strangely enough it hasn't been repeated. What a good vantage point to shoot the 'walled city' from. There's a sense of toughness about this place, clinging to the coast and barring the way to invaders from the sea. Great shot Ms Fogz.

Excellent depth-of-field with the rocks in the foreground as clear as the distant buildings. I also like the framing a lot. Many people try this style but seldom put enough density to the shadow. Very nice. I'd give it a nine in the booth only because you neglected to take me along to this place. ;^>
