.......as much as you try you will never get a straight perspective of this timber framed Tudor House...the walls actually bend in all directions! lol! If you are interested in the history of the house, you can read about it here
Very good image Patti, I like the bit of reflection in the water also. Thanks for link also. Sure is a neat looking place.
You caught the details and such so well as always.

Patti this one of my very favourite buildings in the world!! Did you walk along the long gallery?? It makes you feel as though you have had one too many lol. We went there when I was about 16 and I have never forgotten the place. Thank you for posting this. And you right, no matter where you look there is nothing straight about it. Was there still a lot of goldfish in the "moat"?
The Contractor May have been drinking at the time of construction. LOL.
Thanks for sharing your image and informative link Patti.

I think this looks pretty interesting. It reminds me on the northern german architecture. I enjoy this and special on your image the mirror effect in this green water.
wow. looks an amazing house! i love the designs on the walls and the fact that they are not straight just adds more to the character of it. nice comp too, i like this one.
"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
Extremely pleasant architecture. The woods originally was used by Romans to sustain the entire structure. During the time it became also a decoration of the houses.
Examples of this can be found in UK, France, Germany, North Italy, Austria, Belgium etc.
Very beautiful. Faved.

I love this rickety, wonky shot Fogz. I know what you mean about perspective - how many times have I messed, and messed, and messed and not been able to get the lines completely straight. This one really does look like a challenge. Strangely though I don't think it matters. These buildings always do lurch and dive alarmingly and you brought that out here. What an amazing place, and so well-preserved.
You caught the details and such so well as always.
