It seems like I remember your Queen wearing a hat shaped like those round bushes back in the 70's. What a great manor this is. Your clarity and colors are perfect Patti. Great post.

Amazing structure and gardens Patti. The small hedges are like hats or those seats in hotel lobbies. Love all the colours and lines, curves, detail and composotion. Fabulous sky, really a GRAND posting.

I look at this and enjoy the attention to detail you have captured in this image. Aside from the superb composition, the lines ebb and flow beautifully into each other. The key for me though is how square, straight and true everything is. A very well thought out piece of work. Kudos Patti for a job well done.

Wow that's a great angle - the different bits of the house all look nicely jumbled together and the straight lines are really offset by the curves of the topiary. Looks like someone's made big green jellies all over the lawn! Terrific Fogz.

Patti, what a beautiful building and fine garden.
I always loved to visit manors, castles and old buildings with rich history and I would really like to go here sometime too!
Thanks for posting and the link!

ps. did you read that? "James Bateman planted dozens of redwoods in his Wellingtonia Avenue, but unfortunately, a subsequent owner cut them all down! The Trust replanted the redwoods in 1976/7, so we can look forward to seeing those achieve a dramatic height, although they won't fully mature until 2075. "
