.......Mam Tor! ....looking back part way up at the path Nigel, Jan and I took last Sunday as we were going up the hill! There were many photo opportunities on the way up ...and it was a good excuse to get our breath back ....ohhhh I have to stop to take another photo! lol! ..well that is my excuse! ;)

Good image of the hills from an unusual angle, Patti. The path leads us perfectly into the picture and the ridge in the background leads us perfectly out.

What beautiful scenery and the path makes me want to know what’s around the next bend. I went hiking around mountains for about five and a half hours the other day and probably would have done about six hours over there. what a great place.

I can't help but think how much work that must have been for the persons putting in the walkway. It is a gorgeous touch and doesn't interfere with the surroundings.

LOL Patti. I was really interested by this place - Mam Tor, named by the settlers who built a fort at the top 3,000 years ago. I didn't know it meant the mother hill until we visited. 'Mam' is still used to mean 'Mum' in lots of places round about, Midlands and Liverpool too I think. I always thought it was just slang. Anyway, it's a lovely shot - that was worth the climb wasn't it!

I like this take on the hill with the pathway there!! it was a fantastic view up there and all those people having fun paragliding on the hills! my mum is from bob country and she says mam too! lovely shot.

Fantastic scenery with great composition and colors! The person in the shot really gives good dimension to it. Think I too would need to make lots of shots.... if you know what I mean... LOL
