Ouarzazate's central square...........

....in the centre of the town the square where families meet - despite being so close to the Sahara Desert Ouarzazate is quite cold in the evenings in November, so there are few people around. As you can see this was a slow exposure - I rested my camera on a wall and took the photograph - a few people walked in front of the camera but they have completed disappeared because of the slow exposure - I am a magician! lol! I hope it doesn't hurt your eyes - I increased the tone and saturation in camera, but decided I liked it so left it as shot.

Lovely shot, Patti. A bit too heavy on the reds and yellows for me, though. Maybe a tad of reduction in the hue/sat tool in each channel?

Got this in the VB and just had to comment. This is such a departure from your regular style! A very surrealistic image, you really can't tell if it's real or computer generated. I applaud your explorations.

I like the way the blues and reds play off of each other. The three people near center add story to the picture. I also like the shine coming off of the ground.

Looks like two suns fighting for equal time. It really gives an immuminating effect to the square. Nice experiment Patti.

Patti, this certainly has immediate impact. That dramatic sky and the two giant flood lights give a slightly sinister feeling to the image but this is mollified immediately by the red/orange light. It's a great atmospheric shot taken in difficult conditions.

What a great idea for capturing the square. Love the way the lights have turned into stars with the slow exposure, and I think you're right about the saturation - it looks good left very rich. You didn't manage to make all the people disappaear thank goodness - I'd have been scared to come out with you again if you had! Nice work Mrs Merlin.
