Old and new Manchester - the skyline is forever changing. It is a city of many different styles of architecture and every street has a different feel, different atmosphere. This view is from the river Irwell running alongside Manchester Cathedral. If you look to the left you will see the big wheel which dominates the skyline in Exchange square, a busy and modern shopping district.

Quite the contrasting styles of architecture in this shot. I like the textures in that wall, and the gorgeous, ominous sky. Everything looks great, Patti.

The comparison between then and now is really presented well in this photo Patti. I like the dark colors. The reflections are really good as well. Excellent post.

Ooh err you've come over all poetic Fogz. Well I'm always in awe of anyone who can get good compositions in cityscapes because I really find it hard. You've done it here, with the converging lines and reflections. Even the car advert ads. Great work!
