..my own interpretation of negative space - 'the developing skyline of Manchester' (somewhere between new and old - the buildings in the foreground are redundant and awaiting development, the buildings in the farground are new and exciting). The view is from my student daughter's flat in Manchester.

Well, I think maybe you don't have enough 'negative space' on this photo. I mean, the subject takes up so much area. Isn't it part of the "space" that "it" takes up more space? V

i like the purple and black tones in this one, it works well in those colours in my opinon as maybe colour would have been busy, it has a kind of surreal look. good luck in the contest with this one girl.
