....I wasn't the only one admiring the view over Rhodes Old Town Harbour and the yacht which had just arrived. To the right you can see some large cruise ships ....full of Americans! bahhhh! hehe!
Great DOF, Patti. It looks like one of those murals you stand in front of to get your picture taken. This makes me wish I had gone to Greece when I was stationed in Italy.
Nice to have you back and posting beauties such as this.
I thought you mighta put the camera on a 'self-timer' for this!....Then I thought 'NO' you couldn't have legged it that fast to get in the shot!........hehehe!..
A grand shot of a lovely place....pity about the yanks!....~Chuckles~
* Owing to the deterioration in my hands, I find that I cannot comment as much as I should..But please know...I do look at all your posts!..and will leave my 'moniker' >OB< when I do so!...Thank you all *

You're right Patti, you, the two other people, and me are admiring this view. The only difference is that you and the two other people could enjoy it live, while I have to do this from behind my screen, lol.
The couple seated at the water's edge changes the whole dynamic of the piece. Had they not been there, this could've easily been a pleasant, but somewhat nondescript shot of boats in the water, beautiful day, etc. Pure aesthetic.
Add the couple, and it becomes so much more. It's now a narrative of sorts. Who are they, what moment are they sharing?
Not only that, but they add a whole new dimention to the scale of the piece, and one is directed to the difference in size (and distance) between the boats, the castle off in the distance, and then back to the "tiny" people in the foreground.
Excellent!

PPPPFFFFTTTHHHH :p (sorry, couldn't help myself... being an American and all)
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
