Taken this past summer but saved for 'lean' times such as this with daylight savings upon us now and not many opportunities to get out and take photos. This Egret was waiting so patiently for its lunch and I just knew it would fly away as soon as I saw it, but it was so intent in its concentration I had no trouble whatsoever taking its photo. Hope it was successful in getting lunch. Thanks everyone for stopping by- Enjoy!

The egret looks like it is concentrating on its next big catch of the day. The beautiful shades of green make me wish it was still summer. Excellent clarity also. A very nice capture Eileen & I'm glad this bird decided to stay put for you.

Glad he wasn't green. He really stands out against all the greens. Makes me want a salad. JJ. Good photo and I'm glad you were short on shots. Otherwise we may have never got to feast on this salad. Great post Eileen.

Well, this image really warmed me up. I feel that I can go out without a coat on! Beautiful capture of that lovely egret. I never see these even though I often times stop at the wetlands and the streams.
