I received a request by Caedes member laurenlouise (Lauren) to post this image some day. Lauren, if this is the image that you described to me, then this is the day. Thank you for your support.
This is another beautiful view, Bob. The colors on the mountain over the low fog back are spectacular, and the placement of the lake is perfect in your framing. 10.
Bingo! Thank you so much. It looks even more magnificent on my desktop than I imagined. The lighting and colours and depth in this are just wonderful. 10/10 and into my faves it goes :)
I really like the banding of dark / light / dark / mist / light / cloud. This give great depth and adds texture. Mist is a fairly common occurence in the Eastern Mountains, but I can't remember too many misty scenes out West, which makes this even more unusual.
Nature's border works on this one. Gorgeous and so pleasant to use on my desktop. My thanks to you and Lauren. This is what beautiful landscape wallpaper is all about. ;)
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Ooooh! I love it! I actually like this image better than the other one you posted in this valley with the dark sky and the mountains. Realllly nice and right into my favorites.
OH! Robert!!! how much more beautiful can something be??? I sit here shaking my head at this magnificient photo!! The way the clouds are 'hugging' the hills and mountains...yet a person feels the sun coming thru. The colours are PERFECT...of course nature is like that, but it is up to each of us to capture what we see...and share it...how really great!! Bravo!!
"Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual."
Edward Weston
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
