Thursday I went into the high country to do some photowork as the day was just right for a spring day in Colorado.I went to my favorite stream and sure enough there it was., water from melting snow. Springr at last! Not so. As I pulled into my driveway last night it was snowing again! This morning it is 25 degrees and a light snow is still falling. Back to the still life's again. Sigh.

Lovely. Right now it's flooding in our valley, and snowing in the hills. Doesn't know whether to be spring or not. I empathize.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Good morning Robert
The weather may be fickle now, but this foretaste of the months ahead has given you an image full of energy and vigour. All too soon, spring proper will be on you. Beautiful photo. Thank you.

HEllo there Robert!! Well at least you got a glimpse of the Spring that is about to come uponyou....soon I imagine. As for this image..I just LOVE the rust tones...the rich earthy feel to this photo is just wonderful!! It must have been great to stand there in the quiet of the gurgling stream...listening to nature and then capturing that moment on a photo....You are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful surrounding..That would make anyone smile and feel so at peace..Wonderful photo Robert!!

April is the cruelest month...but the first spring images are the best. I like the way you framed the water in this...the diagonal really makes it a stronger statement than a straight on shot.

hmm .. for some reason this reminds me of a Bev Doolittle painting .. with all the possible hidden faces

Great job .. I miss being so close to the mountains .. my house in Colorado was about a mile from The Red Rocks amphitheatre ..

where I grew up in California it was about a 4 hour drive to get to the first indication of an elevation change (The Sierras) .. so .. for a "day trip" 10 or 12 hours could be spent driving on flat land
