The last Infrared image that I posted was greeted with cool appreciation I going to try again. This image was captured between storms. The beauty of landscape IR, are the trees (and sky of course). All deciduous trees (Those that loose their leaves in the wintertime) reproduce as white in the image, such as the cottonwood's in the lower left hand side of this image. The white in the mountain are Aspens and the dark areas are Spruce and Pine trees. As mentioned, the sky to the right is showing clear weather while to the left can be seen another storm approaching.

I like the black and white effect that you used. Thanks for sharing. Suz

Man has always been awed by the sunkissed mountains, the misty woods, the forming of waves in the ocean & other magical powers of nature. Paradise is always imagined as a place of sweet fragrance & high energy. The aromas used in incense transforms us to this magical world of tranquility in just a few moments helping us to concentrate all our powers & recharge our spirits.

Excellent! This has an almost dream-like quality to it. You know that the colors should be different, that trees shouldn't glow like that, yet there it is. The water shouldn't be black, the sky should be blue, but the approaching storm is exactly what one would expect if they were standing right next to you, dark and menacing clouds. As I said, excellent.

Hello Robert! It is SO VERY GOOD to see a posting of yours! This photo is wonderful! The drama you captured in the black and white PLUS the magestic clouds above is just astounding! Then the timberline of trees hugging the bottom is just awesome. Then the little bit of fence showing in the foreground! I must say this is one of my very favorites of your photos! I only wish I could have a closer look....it's like I am breathing all this crispness in!! Do you have more shots of thise scene somehow? You were certainly at a great vantage point for this!!

Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot Dreaming)

The clouds and sky in these IR shots often looks so dramatic, and give an almost alien quality to the image. That looks like snow on the hills and down by the water, is that a result of the IR or is it actually snow? Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this image is the way the hilltop seems to melt into the sky.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

I wonder if this is what images would look like if we had our eyes in the back of our head. Hmmm.

This is another in the LONG series of WONDERFUL images Bob. Sheesh .. could ya just post one crappy picture for us .. just one?

*wink*
