When I posted an Infrared image sometime ago it was met with a bunch of questions such as why did I use IR and what is the white? Snow? There are times when an image is there but it just will not reproduce as I have visioned it. That is when I use IR film . Here are two images of the same scene. I like the Infrared one. I hope that you can see the reason now that they are side by side.

Hey what a great idea Robert, presenting the two side by side...I see by your explanation why you did this but I must admit I was fooled...thought it was snow...either way, it looks great...cute title too.:Pat.

The images to me look like they were both taken seperately. One being closer than the other? Or is that my imagination, lol. I love them both to be honest.

I love infrared, strange that that dark line of trees on the hill didn't change.

You cannot depend on your eyes, when your imagination if out of focus.

That was an excellent idea Bob, thank you. Its interesting to see how some vegetation changes but not all, must be the deciduous / evergreen thing you told me about. I notice a grainy effect in the IR example, is this by choice or a feature of all IR film? I ask because I still have my elderly 35mm camera and would like to give IR a try.

Great work. You had me fooled. Have you cropped them a bit, because they're in slightly different positions? Good job!

You should flip one so they come at each other. That would be cool.

That is awesome. GOod idea at puttin them together. it makes the presentation symmetrical and thats good. I've been going through your gallery and you have some really good selections.

Bob, I did some playing around with IR film many years ago. This is a great example of the differences. You have a great gallery and I really enjoy your images. I don't always have the time to comment on images but I want you to know that I really love your work. Thanks for all of those great images. Do you know of any digital cameras that will create this type of image?
