This image is dedicated to Nathan Smith and his family. I discovered this image while sorting through 47 years of negatives and prints. I still have a long way to go on my sorting but I know that Nathan feels the same way about this part of the west that I do. This image was not a difficult photographic challenge. It is a typical Ansel Adams photograph. This image just sits there asking to be captured.

B/W really brought out the best in this scene. Absolutely arid lines and cuts and a featureless sky to backdrop the forms against. You can see the water and an eternity of drought at the same time.

I gave you a ten on this one, Bob. Truly in the Adams style. As you prolly know Adams often used a red or yellow filter to capture the skys. If you have an original RGB image of this you might try desaturating it in the magenta spectrum for grins.
