When Cameraannie and I left Denver on 18 October the temperature was F 74 (23.3C) as we passed the Sangre DE Cristo Mountains the temperature was a pleasant F 68 (20C). As we approached our cabin it had started to rain, then sleet. The next morning, 19 October, we awoke to this wonderland and a temperature of F 28 (-2.2C). Big change but absolutely beautiful

Looking at this brought a tear to my eye RObert! There is nothing that compares to the first snow of the season!! I miss the snow a LOT . it used to snow a lot in Oregon but not anymore..But this coming Saturday I am going into the Cascade Mountain Range..I may not find snow, but I WILL find some mossy wonderful things..with Fall colours too. I love these scens, I can "hear" the silence. I envy you yes...you are fortunate to see this...how absolutely wonderful! The sky over those mountains is awe inspiring..and the "powder sugar" effect on the seconary photo is just magical. I have to say though, I with there were a frame line between the two...Looking forward to your next shots..

I understand you wanted to show the difference of one day, but your composition is not convincing I am afraid. I guess it is because thetwo photos present completely different landscapes. I like both captures very much and I would like to see them seperately, they both seem panoramic to me and would look gorgeously in black frames. I am looking forward to your move.

Good idea Robert, placing the two scenes here to compare, and yes, what a difference!...glad it's you and not me, lol...I love the snowy scenery here but don't care for those temperatures already.:Pat.

Ewa, above here and myself, seem to be about to establish a Polish club of trouble makers LOL
Namely I feel just the same that these two images have nothing much in common, except being beautiful ...
My idea is to have it as double image not horizontally but vertically if you insist.
Now we both in the Polish team wait for your move, Master.

It's difficult to use this image like a wallpaper, but the 2 landscapes are beautiful. Could we see the two original images? Please!!! :-)

Please nicely, even?
I second Pierre's request. I particularly like the snowy scene so I'd love to see more of it.

Both photos are absolutely beautiful Bob, and they do portray the weather change very effectively. Would you post these individually so we can see the full richness of these scenes… please. In anticipation… thank you.

I see what they are saying.. I saw the other two first.. I like this one but I like them individually better. They are on my hard drive, as are all your other works..

Now that is nice. I could almost write a poem for that.
