My deepest thanks to all of you that have requested that I split the two images that I had posted in my "What a Difference a Day Makes." The response was overwhelming, no body liked the concept. My first negative posting came from Ewa. With the suggestion that I split the images. So here is another dedication to Ewa for her suggestion. This image was captured while standing on the back porch of my cabin. The river in the foreground is the Conejos river, I can catch brown trout from my porch. Thanks to all who requested this split. I will be answering your posts very soon.

Lovely, Robert...of the two, this is my favorite...despite my dislike of the cold, I do love the winter scenes...this is really pretty with just a dusting of snow and how lucky to view this from your back porch...thanks for sharing.:Pat.

Wow !! I'm glad you took Ewa & co. suggestions...what a fantastic image !! Love the framing ...actually, on further reflection, there isn't anything to dislike or critisize about this at all. A 10, it goes on my hard drive ( what a beautiful wallpaper this will make ) & in my favorites too !! : )

Just one critic about the cut you made of the top of the pines. This is also a wonderful image, Robert :-)

I don’t think I ever saw a snowy photo with so much fine detail in it. The subtle colours combined with the incoming mist / snow creates an outstanding photo.

I'm very impressed :)

Since this is your backyard, Bob, I'd be surprised if you didn't have a non-snowy shot of this lovely scene. Maybe a "what a difference a month (or 2) made" comparison instead?

And there it is - the second masterpice. Simply splendid! I am so glad you split them into two separate images, now they have all our attention. Thank you for sharing. Among my favourites naturally.

Beautiful! Pine trees are just lovely with a dusting of snow, and I like the great view that shows up in the distance behind that first ridge. Hold on to that property!

Hey, Bob. What a beautiful photo. Glad to see you're still kickin around the country taking photos. I hope you had a great Christmas holiday. My very best wishes to both you and Annie. Thanks so much for the calendar and Christmas card. I'm afraid I didn't get any done this year - my daughter graduated from art school, and I spent my time with her. Button-popping proud father. :) All my best to both of you!
