Well, you've achieved your aim. It IS dark and mysterious. The greens are pretty.
It has a slightly sinister note, as things dark and mysterious are apt to do. (Did you intend that?) I think the sharp, spikey shapes contribute to that, as does the text, with the word "painfully" as prominent as it is.
