Any suggestions as to what else should be in the pic? It looks bare :(

I would agree with the other suggestions. First remove the text. Maybe make the pills slightly larger (but not too much.) Very light green hex scrolling down in the back ground. But keep it very simple.

Very good song ... breifly talks about taking the blue pill the story ends and you will wake up and believe what you want to believe, but take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. Check it out and you will think of this wall paper.

I liked diskriders interpretation, however, I think the added background is too dark, something more subtle would perhaps be better. The hex only works like it is if it's moving, in my opinion.

I have to disagree with everyone on removing the text. Without the title somewhere in the work along with removing the text on the pills (buttons) then it wouldn't be very self explanatory. With the text it gives you a sense of "click" here or here. Which is what I believe the author was trying to convey.

I think the pills should be resting on someones hand....then it infers a choice has got to be made....and incorporate Ness' suggestion of putting the faint green 0's and 1's in.

SORRY it took me so long to find this background, realize the post date was way back in 2003, ha...anyways, didn't take the time to read everyone elses comments, so not sure if its been said, but...this is a perfect picture and should not rework it at all. (But) If I were to add something, I'd say possibly some light blue & red matrix code in the background...nonetheless its flawless already. Congrats

Hows about having them resting on a pair of hands like scionlord's suggestion but having the hands either pale green or grey and made out of matrix-like figures, a bit like this. Just an idea and this is a great image as it is, it's certainly provoked a lot of comments...

I don't think you should change a thing. You can get a Matrix picture with the scrolling code anywhere online. Where can you find a picture of a red and blue pill by themselves? Here on Caedes, that's where. I like the comment about the text on the pills making one feel like they should click which one they'd choose. I actually did this....in my dumb state. Which did I choose?
