Took this looking down from the seventh floor of a parking garage in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. I took the photo thinking it was interesting... saw it on the screen at home and really liked it. --Why is it always the ones I only take one shot of half seriously that I later like? :-)

Totally agree. Am now going to concentrate on ignoring the thinky part of my brain when photographing. Won't be too difficult, in my case!!! ;)

I agree with Phill, why so low? I put it in my favs. It's beautiful how the lines make this picture a little surreal and abstract yet it is so recognisable. It demands to stay watching...The circle on the left, the chaos-lines on the right. Together with all the straight lines, it's like 2D. Very, very cool Gabe.

Excellent use of leading lines, the texture differences really add to the image.

I think what makes this shot so interesting is the different colors of pavement and the smashed concrete on the right. It looks so perfect and imperfect at the same time. Good job!

I like the clarity and smoothness of the stoplight and the light post in contrast to the rugged and cracked pavement. As for the photography difficulties, you just summed up the story of my life. :-)
