Engelmann Scientific Name: (Engelmannia pinnatifida) Definition: Part of the Sunflower Family (Asteraceae), the Engelmann daisy is a favorite for grazing with livestock and much of the plant has been eaten out of the grasslands, prairies and savannah that makes up so much of Texas. Grows upright to spreading with stems stout and woody, one to several. Flower heads 1-2" across, usually 8 petals. Flowers found few to several ending in clusters. Grows in all parts of state except Northeast. Blooms February - November. Enjoy

Very pretty Gabi. When I was looking at the different shape I thought maybe you should have shaped it like Texas. Just an idea. Beautiful colors. Come on Spring.

Love the flowers and I like the effect, especially in the places where you didn't care how much or little of the flower was involved, for example, near the bottom left-hand side. I think that by trying to spare whole flowers from the effect, it cut down on the impact. Just my two cent's worth!

~ Very cute DT Gabriela! We used to have these growing in a field next to us when I lived in NJ. We called them coreopsis and they were always loaded with butterflies in the summer. Thanks for sharing!
