First of all, your narrative is nearly the same as mine was when I started. Anymore, you have to beg for constructive criticism or you'll get one of those "nice shot. thanks for sharing" comments which don't help you much.

Night time shots are very tricky. You have to contend with those bright pole lamps while your primary subject is the sky. Personally I would have gone somewhere without those lights or used my chainsaw and taken them down. The sky itself is well captured although there is some noise (graininess). I believe Mehndi has free noise reduction software although I could be wrong.

Here in California we won't have any clouds again until October. I envy the clouds that made this a fine sunset shot.
