I have seen the skies turn bright orange-ish red like this, my friend. just after a thunder storm, maybe not as orange but close. its actually a little eerie when it happens. it sure is a sight to see. would have been nice to retain and enhance some of what appears to be blue? over to the right? it could just be me though. either way? you have a great shot here!
Whoah, that's one heckuva sky, Marisa. Like Chris, I've seen a lot of red in a skyscape but never nothing but red. It looks a lot like a still from a few environmental disaster movies that came out during the 1970's (and a couple hell-on-earth films of the 80's). It would almost feel fabricated/manipulated if not for the city structures--signs, light pole, etc.--you included. The only thing missing are a swarm of winged demons coming out of the clouds, a couple drunk enough on being on vacation that they're banging off the sign in the middle. Great shot.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
An apocalyptic sundown. It brought this classic sign-off to mind: "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."
