I enhanced the coloring as usual to pick up the colors that my phone cam missed. It was a incredible sight. With my new overnight job I will be capturing more of these sunrise. Comments always welcome

Great shot Marisa - the phone cam and your editing resulted in a fine image - just think of the benefits with your overnight job in that you will be able to get some great sunrise shots!!!!!! p.s. since this is a Halloween sunrise, I hope you were able to get home safely to avoid the vampires lol.

when I use the "point and shoot", I turn the EV down just a bit, that takes the shot with faster shutter speeds and the ability to take it hand-held now. of course in this case(which is what i would have wanted(control over the shot) a darker and more silhouetted background. I hate power lines and utility poles in my shots...but sometimes they work, exception to the rule! like could have happen here and...little grain if you lower the ISO as well...again added with a lower EV which is nothing more then a fancy way of saying exposure value, would have made the sky less washout but still rich in color and everything(minus car lights) would have been a silhouette...resulting in? making the poles and power lines work for you. good news? you still have that ability to under expose the shot and get that effect in software. doing the same practice i have mentioned above? is how to shoot the moon with detail and not get a bright blob or light in the sky. try it out Marisa, you have a good day.
