What amazing colors the chicks have, and the adults so different to the young.
Plus I love the suckle green that washes over the picture.
This is a very nice all-round photograph.
It would be nicer if you could see the side of one of the adults heads.
Wow Garrett, this is a winner in my books. Spectular capture and it's great you got the whole family together. The little guys are so cute and what colours, wow.
Fabulous capture Garrett! I'm especially enjoying the details in the adult's feathers and red around it's eye, the tall spindly grasses and reflections and bubbles a top the surface of the water! The colour on those chicks is pure delight! Pretty dof as well! I love it all! Saved + faved.
A fine family shot, Garrett. I've taken a lot of Sandhill Crane images and I even took a few this mourning. I've never seen one swim and never saw any little chicks. S&F Thanks for sharing
This photography actually made me laugh out loud when i looked at it in the VB! Those tiny little chicks, that are so pink look like they have been doused with food colouring. They are so bright its a wonder they dont get eaten by bigger things!! What a shame nature was uncooperative and had them all looking the other way but still a beauty of a shot. I very much like the smoothness to this.
