Cottonwood Lake #2 looking toward Old Army Pass

We just got back from a three day backpacking trip to the Cottonwood Lakes in the Sierras, near Mount Whitney. Our elevation was about 10,500 feet. I took my wife, Charlene and our two boys. It was Ian's (11) first backpacking trip. After a six mile hike and an elevation gain of approximately 1,500 feet we made it to Cottonwood Lake #2. I will be sharing images of our trip over the next couple of days.

Oh I had this in VB just a little while ago and gave you a real high score Garrett. Looks like the mountain has had some land slides.

Rugged and beautiful all in one Garrett. Clarity is really good. I like the vertical landscape. It adds to the climbing mode.
