As I mentioned last Thurs, I had to go back to Idaho for a memorial service. While I spent the vast majority of time with my family, I was able to get out for a little bit each morning. Finding myself reflecting alot, I am now seeing that the images I took mirror my state of mind. They are a little different than my normal animal shots. In this shot a female Shoveler is swimming in a sea of pondweed.

I can see your mood in this one Garret. A little confused and a darker mood. Very well done.

I can understand from your photo what you mean Garrett. The Shoveler will fly away one day to a bright sky and a clean pond. That is how time works. Good post.

Different from you and I like it. The metallic hues on the pond add an abstract artistic element. Especially considering the contrasts. Interesting and moody.

My condolences, Garrett. What a perfect image to convey a mood.

You know...I might be out of the ballpark with the title but I had to comment because immediately when I saw the "Confusion" I linked this image with the famous poor-quality photo of the Loch Ness Monster in the lake. I felt like the "Confusion" would have been cleared up if they took a photo with the technology you had at your disposal.

I like this though and I do see what it means now.
