I caught this little Bewick's Wren hoping around in a pile of dried brush. Wren's are busy little birds that are usually seen and not heard. They usually peek out from the underbrush and move on as soon as they are seen. Superficially they are little brown jobs, but if you take the time to look closer the detailing on their feathers is amazing.

Your patience and the powerful lens really make for great photos Garrett. We don't have near as many wrens around here in the summer as before. I think it is the loss of cover to farmland. Nice post.

This i lovely shot and i like the angle you took this one at it set it of just right. We have this bird in the uk in fact it is are 2nd smallest bird the smallest is the gold crest.Thanks for sharing garrett.
