A Lesser Goldfinch gorges itself on the seeds
from a Mulefat bush. Mulefat looks alot like
willow, but if you look closely you will see
flower heads and not catkins.
And since I have both feet where they are usually planted, any thought given to cloning out the two or three flower heads(?) in the lower right-hand section?
That said, this is a good good shot, Garrett. And one that I do enjoy.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful images with us. This one, of course, being no exception. :o)
"There is always something waiting at the end of the road ... if you're not willing to see what it is ... you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place."
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
What a beautiful picture this is and the colours in the finch are outstanding.Plus i must say you have a god given talent in getting the right colours to match well done.
Marvelous composition with excellent details and colour, Garrett! The mulefat seeds (strange name) don't look appetizing, but I guess he likes it :) I love how he's giving you the eye!
Couple of thoughts, hope you don't mind ...
Some of the shadowed area's details, I believe, could be elevated through the employment of a tutorial on site by Phil; aka philcUK. Namely this one:
