About a 1/2 hour into the park we came upon a large group of elephants. Part of that group was enjoying a mudhole. A good thing about going to the Serengeti at the start of the rainy season is that everything is green, there are lots of baby animals, and the roads are still good.

The wide format fits perfectly for this splendid capture, I think this is a superb capture with the lens, not a negative from me, but a fave. =^..^=tigs

Makes one wonder how they ever get up ... oh, and all that mud, but it is a great capture Garrett.

Mud, glorious mud !!

A fabulous capture Garrett, perfectly suited to the wide format.
I am sure it is more than a cooling down - they seem to be enjoying the fun as well.
Splendid photo

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Right into my favs and I really like the wide view of this family fun day at the spa. Excellent detail, don't they take mud baths to protect themselves from flies?
