I had to buy a new camera a month ago as I dropped my old one. Fortunately it was insured. I wasn't sure what to replace it with as Nikon no longer manufactures its D3S model. After a little research I settled on the D810. It is almost half the price of the D4S so I was worried. I bought the D810 because I wanted sharp resolution at a distance from the subject(36 megapixels) with some of the light sensitivity of the D4S. This image was shot at an ISO of 1000. The f-stop was 11 and the shutter speed was a 1/1000 sec. I think that I made the right decision.

Well for the price of your camera it should be alright and looking at this photo it is and it has great detail in this photo and perfect natural colours and lovely light as well.I have the Nikon D7000 for a labour it great lol.

It's good the insurance was useful & you found a replacement Garrett. First uploaded results indicate you found a sensible replacement. A fine photo & endearing image, I especially like the posture of the Sparrow.

The pose, sharpness and composition are all good.
I have read about the D810 and it has great reviews. I can see why.
I use a D7000 and have been satisfied.
