No soccer shots this week. My wife(Charlene) and I flew/drove to Flagstaff, AZ to see our oldest son. He is a freshman at Norther Arizona University. Of course being in another state I had to look for some new birds.

I like the filtered sunlight on the bird and the glint of the eye. Never had the privilege of seeing this particular species. Very nice image.

Reminds me of my favorite bird, the Cardinal, Garrett.
The Cardinals clinched the NL Central title in Arizona yesterday.

Lovely looking capture and the colours especially in the bird are stunning and I love the shadows that are being cast over the birds body plus stunning composition too.

Well spotted Garrett, they sure are a beautiful and elegant bird. Really like the lighting and the way it streams across the his body and also the look he's looking at you with the tilt of his head
