You have to get up early to see the cranes before they fly off to the fields to feed. These two left the group standing in the water and climbed a birm.

One bird looks like it is standing guard. I really like the lighting and the brown weeds in the background! Beautiful.

Now is the one looking out is that a female? I noticed in full that crane doesn't have red on the top if it's head, just guessing.

Outstanding shot and really like the early light really highlighting the graceful cranes. How close are you to these beauties
