Another winter migrant that I photographed while kayaking was this Bufflehead. Tough to get really sharp images in a kayak with a 100-400 zoom. No tripod, I am sitting with my legs in front of me, the kayak is rocking and drifting at the same time. Also I was afraid to take my new camera out and took and older model that I had. I suppose with enough practice I could adapt.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
What amazing little duck this is the head looks so large and the markings are stunning and the colours are stunning and you did a great job capturing the detail in this bird seeing you was bobbing around in your sky sky and what a great life you live too.Plus your presentation is one hundred percent with this capture too.
