I think that you have enough background information about the Piedra Blanca colony, so let the drama begin! Two young bulls are doing what bulls do, fight. Neither is old enough to hold a harem, but that doesn't stop their hormones from raging. Maybe both were in the water and saw some relatively unattended females and they clashed making a run for a poke. Maybe one was on the way back from attempting a poke and collided with one on his way to attempt a poke. Who knows?? They just went at it. Take notice of very little scarring and short proboscis.

The one on the right looks like he is howling with pain from being punched in the nose a few times too many. Another excellent shot, Garrett.

Whoa, the look in that one bull eyes, he wasn't happy this fellow came along. Wow, you're so lucky to be so close to shots like this one. Outstanding detail and the colour of the ones tongue really pops out. Also love the shimmer of the wet sand beyond after the waves go out.
