This is a picture I took yesterday morning when I was out walking dog in city park. I am pretty sure these are a Hurricane and a Spitfire. For close to 40 years they had a Lancaster bomber from WW2 sitting on same site where these planes. Over the years the elements were deterioating the Lancaster so it was taken down and put on display indoors in controlled environment and these planes were put there instead. Yesterday morning it was overcast and raining...I will go back and take same picture when sky is blue.

This sure is a nice clear shot and the colors have been captured most accurately. Normally, one would want a much more detailed sky but for this shot, the plain sky serves a perfect backdrop for these airplanes. Good work.

I agree with pat. This is a clear shot. Very interresting yet colorful planes. Great work.

Hi Gerry,

I love the colors in this photo ... The sky works for the planes as it highlights and brings out the colors of them..

Great catch,

As fan of ww2 allied airplanes, i just have to love this image from the Hurricane and Spitfire.
The Hurricane is far out my favorite above the Spitfire.
I am sorry to say that i have never seen a Hurrycane in real life, but am pleased to
hear that the Lancaster bommer is been rescued from elements !
Thanks for sharing this image.
