Took this the same morning that I took previous post (Detroit Skyline). It is over the Detroit River. Did use a tripod as it was long exposure..

Gorgeous sunrise - such warm welcoming colors. I love the reflection and the bird is the perfect touch.

A beautiful shot, Gerry and that bird is small, but he adds so much to this post. I see that's been said twice already, but it can't be avoided. It's perfect!

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

Lovley sunrise. Great colors and sharpness. How long exposure did you have? I pick up and learn when I see a great photo like this :)

Great capture, excellent colors but ya need to straighten the horizon line...I know because everytime, early on, that i would post a sunrise/sunset pic and the horizon was akilter, everyone would mention it... hehe guess it's my turn. It truly is a lovely pic though, good job! dAVE

Awesome Gerry. The mood is so quiet and peaceful and I love the lone seagull against that beautiful sky. Outstanding job and thanks for sharing this.

Great shot. You need to straighten the horizon line. :) If you have Photoshop, here's how...

1) Get the Measuring Tool (usually hidden in the eyedropper tool set dropdown).

2) Measure along the horizon line.

3) Go to the Image menu, do Rotate Canvas -> Arbitrary. The number of degrees you need to rotate the image will be automatically placed in the dialog for you.

4) Click OK. Then crop the edges off.

Beautiful sunrise. The detroit River is a pretty river. Makes for some great sunrise material. Nicely done.
