This is a White-breasted Nuthatch. This was captured Saturday out at Nature Preserve. I had to be patient...this little guy did not stay still for very long.

Patient? Tell me about it LOL ... As an avid birdwatcher I can attest to your patience comment. You managed nicely here with this shot. My guess is it's a female judging from the light coloring atop it's head. I never tire of "bird shots" ... Thanks for posting Gerry

You must be one of those "bird-ers?" I wouldn't know one bird from another. This little guy looks like he just woke up, He's pretty, though and you did a good capture on him. nice.
