This is a rework of ealier posting of Egret. As was suggested I cropped this image to bring closer look at bird. I must say this does make the bird more prominent in image while still having natural elements of swamp in picture. I have enhanced this picture with contrast. Thanks in advance for viewing and comments..

This one is great too, but I liked the first one better. I liked the view of the surroundings and the grasses in the foreground of the other one. Can't please everybody I guess. lol

You did a great rework here Gerry. The water almost looks like a splash of paint as a backdrop for him and the colors make his white stand out so fine. The closer is better to see him with ;) but I also enjoyed the nature view of the first post. Very well done my friend. Thanks.

I'm not sure it needed a rework, but this version stands on its own, too. Great clarity and composition.

I love them both but tend to like the original better - I though his solitude was emphasized by the surroundings

I really like this one. I still get a very clear sense of stillness and solitude and the simplicity of the composition is wonderful.

this works very well indeed
the image is well balanced and we are guided into the subject from the edge by that bed of reeds

the band of blue water behind his head really portraits his head well
there i go inventificating words again

nicely done

so the less here wrt cropping is sometimes LESS is more
actualy in linux it always is ;) more or less :P
