While most plant life seems to be dying off as we get later into Autumn this wildflower stood out from decaying foliage. It has such a bright blue color and was shot in morning light at Nature Preserve.
It is unusual to find blues among the remaining colors of fall, but this was is a show stopper. I think it wanted to be spotted and photographed by you, Gerry. I'm glad you got there in time. I very much like the blue of the flower against the brown background. It really sets of the flower. Beautiful.
Gerry, the sticker win. The autumn sit nowadays full surprises. Here even still strawberries thrive. And then it almost November is. Nature don't no longer what must do.

Nice job finding one of the last (I think) chickory flowers of the year. It's usually just a roadside weed, though if you found it growing in the middle of the woods I'd suspect something else..
