This male and female Mallards have been hanging around the pond out at Nature Preserve for last few weeks. About a month ago there was about four or five Wood Ducks hanging out in this pond...I took pictures of them but could not seem to get shot I wanted...they seem to be more shy of humans than the Mallards are...

Beautiful shot Gerry ! Anita's right, the clarity is wonderful & I love the refections ! Nicely done .... sadly, those leaves & grasses look a lot like my front yard. :o)

What I Like About Your Composition: I like the clarity of the water with it's smooth glassy look. Mr and Mrs Mallard have been perfectly captured. I like the wake they leave in the water. It brings life, and motion to the composition. Focus is sharp throughout.
Suggestions: The weeds and their reflection in the water makes for a very busy background that keeps pulling my eyes towards the background weeds rather than the ducks. I don't know how else you would have done this, however.
Conclusions: An overall lovely capture .

I think this is superb in every way - clear as a bell, well composed and so nicely framed which adds impact to the picture. The reflections are beautiful. Two lovely creatures in their natural habitat, enjoying their lives. Beautiful..

A splendid presentation of a gorgeous couple. Good clearness and details - can see the fuzz on the females head :) Honestly, there is a painted quality to this image. The water is reflecting the grasses and ducks in a most pleasing way. This photo is just plain beautiful, and I think your photography is marvelous Gerry :*>
