This is a capture that I made a couple of months back. It is a bloom from a Thistle plant. The image was uderexposed and I made the bloom brighter and left the background dark.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like the treatment you gave it. Thistles are the most artistically constructed plants I have ever seen. The depth of their make up constantly amazes me. Great capture.

I love the simplicity of this shot with the one main flower. Nature can be so beautiful and more isn’t always better. Thanks for sharing.

I am almost at a loss for words...this is sooooooooooo pretty!! Is it snow, or frost or pollen on this thistle?? The colour of pink is just gorgeous, and I love this picture...verena
