Took this photo last week. This Reed, among many, is growing along edge of pond at Nature Preserve. It was right time of morning for sun to be shining on it.

I found this first in the voting booth, and you can be sure that I gave it high high marks..this is so lovely and you've captured it so well with the beautifully blurred out colors and the sharp contrast that's contained in the reed itself :)

Cheers !!!!!!!....Happy New Year

Another just lovely shot...what kind of camera did you use for this? I really enjoy looking at your 'simple and elegant' photos....bravo indeed!!..verena

lovely Gerry! The reed on it's own makes an outstanding image. Patti

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The reed catches the light beautifully and contrasts well against the darkened background. I like it a lot. This is a high quality shot, my only suggestion would be to put it perhaps slightly off centre, other than that, it's close to perfect...
