This was taken yesterday morning. I have been looking last few days in Nature Preserve for nest of Great Horned Owl as they nest in January and have seen one flying in bush. It has been confirmed that there is a pair of these Great Horned Owls in this bush and would dearly love to get pictures of them...anyways I was walking through bush looking up in treetops and looked down and right in front of me was these two young deer and was able to get about ten pictures of them...this is one of them...

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Gerry, what a shot! and opportunity to boot. I really like how this one is framed right between the trees, however it's somewhat unfortunate her ear was behind the one tree. So nice and sharp you can even see how much masquera she used.

Gerry, I forgive you the slight ear behind the tree..omg..I'm going to give Rob a lashing with a wet noodle..lol..I can't believe you were so calm and collected that you were able to make all the movements necessary to adjust your camera while this deer was there, and I'm sure it wasn't very long, and then also have the presence of mind to place the shot between this natural frame of the trees and still get a clear image on top of all that..You must have nerves of steel, man!!! I would have been so excited that even my image stablizer wouldn't have been able to do its job. Another one that's a candidate for my living room wall, my friend. You're just getting better and better..just send us all those practice shots :)

Interesting capture. I don't detect any fear on this animal's face and there should be. Are you the "Deer Whisperer"?
Nice work.
