One more of this beautiful hawk. This is also a superb shot. I said it before... your bird pictures so superb. A real pro. I´m glad you wrote the camera settings. But how could you get so fantastic sharpness on 300mm? You must have very steady hands :)))

Again a great shot Gerry. I was thinking about to buy the same lens as you used in this image, and this shot convinced me even more (and I can compare, because I have the same camera)! Thank you very much

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Of the two shots, I love this one the most Gerry. To me, the bird looking over his shoulder gives a more pleasing balanced image. But, to be honest, I'd be chuffed [delighted] to get any image this good and close of a bird of prey. Excellent fieldcraft brought into play - using the car as a hide is a great idea!
Cheers,
Steve.

That’s an excellent photo of a bird I’m not familiar with. You were fortunate to find a gap in the twigs like that.
