This shot of this Male Cardinal was taken back in February. I know there was snow on ground which I suspect reflected light up to give this bird the deep red color..I know these birds are red in color but seem to have got very saturated color in this shot. Taken with Nikon D50 fitted with Tamron 70-300mm lens set at 260mm. Shutter 1/640 aperture F/5.3 ISO 800...image has been enhanced in editor..
