First I want to apologize to all my friends here at Caedes for not commenting on all your postings in recent past...I have been spending an awful lot of time at Nature Preserve tracking this Owl family and also have had computer problems this past 2 weeks. Anyways, this is one of young Great Horned Owls from postings earlier when the two chicks were in nest a few weeks back. They are about 7 weeks old now and about 100-200 yards from where nest was back in bush. This, and next posting, were taken this evening. The parents have been perched in trees near by and have some pictures of them also...these young donot have fully developed wings yet and will not fly for a couple of weeks.

I found this first in the voting booth, my friend. And you're going to think I am making this up, but after I voted it high, I got to thinking about it and came back to look and found out I was right...my good friend gerryp was back and posting again. I'm glad to see that's the case, and I always enjoy what you send. *settles back in for a series treat from my friend* sorry to hear about your puter problems, but we all go through it once in a while and can sympathize ... :)

Aw come on Gerry, don't blame it on the owls lol

I have to say this is a wonderful result of your tracking - exceptional picture and great to see you posting.

BTW there is never any need to apologize, and as has already been said there is a big wilde world out there. So nice that you show us wonderful bits of it we otherwise would not see.

What a great capture Gerry. For being so young, sure is 'wooly' looking from all those feathers :) Perfect clarity and wonderful colors. Very well done and please never worry about commenting/looking etc.

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.

Aha! A captive audience! They are beautiful and so fluffy yet and they have big feet! Beautiful shot, Gerry.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
