This picture of Green Heron was taken late this afternoon. This bird was in pond at Nature Preserve..and has been hanging out for a week or so as fishing is good here for her. Used Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 260mm shutter 1/40 aperture F/5.3 ISO 200.

Well, the water looks green, maybe that's why they call them green herons...perhaps they like to drink green water? Don't know, but I do know that you picked a fine subject for this upload and that you captured a lot of personality and clear color on this fine feathered friend.
