This photo was taken about a week back. This Mother Mallard with her ducklings were in the pond at Nature Preserve...the place is alive with new life with the Spring. Used Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 250mm shutter 1/125 aperture f/8 ISO 200.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Nine babies I counted. Glad I am not a mallard.
Lovely shot Gerry, I like the way no land is visible, just the ducks and the water. The rich colour tones are great and it makes a good desktop.

Heck, everyone has already used the good comments, so I'll offer a suggestion: clone out the twig that seems to "growing" from the Mom.
