I am uploading a couple of older shots taken this last winter. This is a picture of Detroit skyline taken from Canadian (Windsor, Ontario) side of Detroit river. It was taken at sunrise on cloudy day with the river frozen over...the photo had a blue cast to it which give a feeling to the cold day it was...

Super Gerry...the blue feel to this one is perfect for that cold effect you spoke of...great shot on the lights as well..looks very professional and would make a great desktop.

I saw the other shot first and thought it looked like a cold weather scene. I think I like this one better. It is more direct and my focus is on the skyline more because it is surrounded by blue.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Wow, both shots are superb. I love the sharpness and the city over the lake. The blue tone is wonderful. I think this one is my fav of the two just because it seems closer.
