This was also taken yesterday morning at Objibway Nature Preserve...I found the contrasting color with dying wildflower, which I am sorry to say that I don't know name, and green foliage of plants still thriving...

Looks like they are dying off..lovely colours in this.
These sorts of things are catching my eye atm.

Lots of plants dying off and going dormant at this time of year and they have such interesting colours..it's not only bright and full of life that makes a great photo :)

And what a gorgeous set of photos you have for us today. Beautiful, non-glaring colors and so wonderfully framed. Great work, Gerry!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

this is very autumn-like, i hate seeing things all soggy and brown like this, but contrasting with the green it works well and is an attractive shot. you may have not been around much lately but you certainly didnt loose your touch with a camera!

I think the flower is a "Seeyanexspringus" It's pretty common. Can be found all over the world. What a great photo with contrasting colors and seasons. Good lighting. Very nice post Gerry.

As you say Gerry, the contrast of the dying wildflower with the surrounding is beautiful. Well done. Regards, Cornelius

Gerry, Great colors. The browns really make this picture. (Not to be confused with the Cleveland Browns.)

This has to be downloaded to really be appreciated. I see how the co,l.ors of the plants attracted you. Nice perceptive capture.
